Mr. Serotkin earned his BA degree in accounting from Northeastern University, where he later on also studied business and finance, and he holds a MA degree in Communications from Boston University [1].

He started his career as a Director with the Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE), an association helping to provide 'legislative voice for small business at the state and federal levels and to make practical information available to help business owners grow their companies' [2]. Since then he has served on several company and organization boards, including Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), the New England Chapter Board of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA),and the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education (MBAE)[3].

In 2000 the company was acquired by Titan Corporation. Upon acquisition he became Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Strategic Planning, for AverCom Corp which is a Titan subsidiary producing computer hardware and software[6].
