Sonia Sodha

Sonia Sodha is a senior associate at London based consultancy Westminster Policy Institute. She is also a former senior policy adviser to the leader of the Labour Party Ed Miliband.

Career

Sodha began her career as a research fellow in the director's research team at think tank the Institute for Public Policy Research in 2005. In 2008 she began working at think tank Demos as head of the capabilities programme.

In October 2010 she was hired by the Labour Party as senior policy adviser to leader Ed Miliband. At the Labour Party she also ran the Labour Party's Small Business Taskforce with entrepreneur Nigel Doughty.[1]

In May 2012 she was appointed head of policy and strategy at The Social Research Unit at Dartington. She was then appointed head of public services and consumer rights at Which?.[2]

In March 2015 she was appointed senior associate at Westminster Policy Institute.[3]
