Background

Mcgarvie Morrison Media (MMM) is a new Public Relations, Public Affairs and Media Consultancy. Its co-founders are Lindsay Mcgarvie ex political editor at the Sunday Mail and ex BBC reporterJohn Morrison, brother of Western Isles Labour MSP Alistair Morrison. Their setting up of this company is another example of the cross-fertilisation of reporters and the reported, as journalists seek to profit from their experience in, and ability of, news management through the sale of this expertise to those who wish to efficiently manage news affecting them.

They state that, 'McGarvie Morrison Media brings new levels of expertise to the fields of public relations, public affairs and media consultancy.

The most successful organisations have to communicate effectively. The modern media offers tremendous opportunities to do so, but it also presents great hazards. Fortunately, MMM is at hand to guide businesses, public bodies and prominent individuals through the media minefield.

Our directors have contacts and skills that were developed at the pinnacle of British journalism, and together they can ensure that your message strikes the right target. They train key individuals to perform to the highest level on television and radio. They develop media strategies and work directly with newspapers and broadcasters on your behalf.

Our philosophy is simple: we strive to exceed your expectations. First we get to know exactly what you do and what you want to say. Then we ensure you say it in the most effective way possible – because no one understands the mechanics of today's media better than MMM'[1].
