Archy Kirkwood (Lord Kirkwood of Kirkhope) is a former Liberal Democrats member of parliament for Roxburgh, Berwickshire and Selkirk from 1983 until 2005[1], when he was made a peer in the House of Lords, joining on the 10 June.

Parliament

Kirkwood held the seat of Roxburgh, Berwickshire and Selkirk, a Liberal Democrats stronghold, for twenty-two years before his retirement consistently polling over 45% of the vote.[2]

During his time in parliament he was the Liberal Democrat Chief Whip from 1992 to 1997.[3]
