This page compiles reviews of works by Frank Furedi, Professor of sociology at the University of Kent, the intellectual guru of the Revolutionary Communist Tendency/Revolutionary Communist Party/Living Marxism and the LM network.

Furedi's work has been reviewed in a wide range of academic journals in the SSCI ranging from history, area studies, international relations, sociology, media and communication studies, education, counselling, psychology and psychiatry. In terms of numbers the 44 reviews retrieved from the SSCI appear mainly in the decade from 1990-1999 (27 items) compared with fifteen reviews in the subsequent decade. It can be noted that Furedi's work has moved from a focus on imperialism, colonialism and race towards risk, education, the family and therapy. The books in this latter area have attracted least attention. Thus the books on risk starting with 1997's Culture of Fear have been reviewed 15 times, compared with those on imperialism, development, race and colonialism which have attracted some 27 reviews. His 1986 book on the Soviet Union was reviewed in two journals including Problems of Communism a publication of the United States Information Agency.
