Derek Taylor

Derek Taylor was born in Manchester and has spent all his working life in the financial services sector, mostly in the UK.

He joined the Bank of Scotland Group in 1987 and took a senior role in the personnel and training area of a group subsidiary. He was also a member of the General Management Committee of the subsidiary. In 1995 he was appointed General Manager of the Central Division of the subsidiary.

In 1997 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of Capital Finance and took the role of Managing Director in 1999. The company employs 400 people in offices in Parramatta, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Derek is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD), and the institute of Administrative Management (FinstAM) and he is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD)[1].
