is based at Glasgow Caledonian University. 'At the end of October, 2007, Prof. Udo Schuklenk and Dr. Craig Mackenzie will be leaving Glasgow Caledonian University for posts at, respectively, Queen's University, Kingston, Canada and the School of Management at Edinburgh University. The future of the Centre is under review.[1]

Advisory Board

  • Prof Jim Gallagher (Chairperson) (Visiting Professor CEPPCG) Prof Gallagher is a senior civil servant, who has been Head of the Scottish Executive Justice Department and an advisor in the Prime Minister's Policy Unit in Downing Street. He has held a number of other goverment positions and non-exective directorships in the financial services industry. He is also a Visiting Professor of Government in the Law School at Glasgow University. Jim is particularly interested in the development of public policy and the ethical issues associated with it and with corporate ethics in the financial sector.
  • Jim Inch Director of Corporate Services, The City of Edinburgh Council Educated in Edinburgh where he obtained a degree in Economics and Business Studies. Following a period of working in the private sector he joined local government in 1975 and held a number of positions before becoming Head of Personnel and Management Services for the City of Edinburgh Council. In 2002 he was appointed Director of Corporate Services and is responsible for a wide ranging portfolio including strategy and policy development, equalities issues, performance measurement, e-government, human resource matters, legal services, corporate communication and committee and members services functions. In addition, he has responsibility for a number of trading operations namely catering (including school meal provision), cleaning and vehicle maintenance. He is also a fellow of the Institute of Management Services.
  • Iain McCall Local Director of Lloyds TSB in Glasgow and North West. Has a wide range of experience in both Business and Retail Banking. He is Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland and is married to Sandra with three sons and lives in Ayrshire.
  • Sir Stephen Lamport Royal Bank of Scotland Group Director for Public Policy and Government Affairs. Private Secretary to The Prince of Wales in October 1996, having joined HRH's Household as Deputy Private Secretary in March 1993. He joined the Diplomatic Service in 1974 and served at UKMIS New York in 1974; Third Secretary FCO 1975; Third, later Second Secretary Tehran 1975 - 79; First Secretary FCO 1980; Private Secretary to two successive Ministers of State in the FCO in 1981 - 84; First Secretary in Rome 1984; First Secretary, later Counsellor FCO 1988-93. Sir Stephen is married with three children.
  • Councillor Tom McKeown Glasgow City councillor Elected for the Scottish Labour and Co-operative Party to represent Tollcross Park Ward. Tom has been a Councillor since June 2001. He is a librarian by profession and works as an Information Officer for IDOX Information Service, part of the IDOX plc group.
  • Duncan L Murray WS Litigation Partner in the firm of Morton Fraser LLP, Edinburgh Mr Murray was President of the Law Society of Scotland in 2004/2005. He is accredited by the Law Society as a Specialist in Employment Law.
  • Godfrey Robson CB Chairman of Frontline Consultants Mr Robson was a career civil servant, for many years Under Secretary for Economic and Industrial Affairs in the Scottish Office, and more recently Director of Health Policy. He is now Chairman of Frontline Consultants, Scotland's largest independent management consultancy, a Director of LloydsTSB Bank Scotland, senior policy advisor to ICAP in Washington DC, and a trustee of Caledonia Youth, Scotland's national young people's sexual health charity.
  • David Sibbald Founder, Chairman and CEO of Sumerian Networks. Prior to founding Sumerian, Mr Sibbald was the Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Atlantech Technologies, a communications software company that provided network service creation tools for broadband service providers. Atlantech was founded in 1992 and sold to Cisco Systems in March 2000 for $180M. At Cisco he ran world-wide Marketing and Business Development for Cisco’s Communications Software Group. In addition he is a Founder and Trustee of the Kate MacAskill Foundation, a charitable foundation helping enable children’s education in the developing world, Co-Founder and Chairman of Generation Science, a charity providing science education to primary school children in Scotland and a member of the UK Board of Trustees of UNICEF, the United Nations children’s fund.[2]
